Welcome To My Class Information

Special high alkaline, ionized water is provided for every class.

At the beginning of each class, we always have a brief discussion on how important breathing and hydration are!

73% to 78% of our bodies are water.  This is why hydration is so vital to our overall health, especially in our seasoned years!  The water I provide is 6 times more hydrating than any other water.

We use a few different types of breathing in my classes depending on the exercise or movement we are doing. For example, for circulation, we will breathe in and out of the nose.  For purging and cleaning out meridians, we will breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.  If you think of your brain and body as if it were an electric car, think of your breath as being the power for the engine.  In other words in order for us to live, breathing is number one, hydration is number two and everything else comes from that.

All of the classes that I teach, work with something I call 'true range of motion.'  True range of motion means the movements can't be too big, and can't be too small.  The ideal size is in the middle because that helps a person in their later years to heal past injuries and avoid future injuries.  All of the movements and exercises I work with are customized to fit each person's particular body type.  If a person has trouble with their knees or rotator cuff, then I help them to change the size of the movement so they cannot only do the exercise but also can begin to heal their body as well.  When I see someone pushing themself too much, I will encourage them to take a rest or take it a bit easier on themself.

Retired Living

Conscious Breathing means becoming more aware of how we are breathing and then being able to sustain that particular breathing practice for a set amount of time.

Better Hydration means learning about the wonderful benefits of better hydration in our seasoned years of life.

Balance and Stability: this means learning about how far we can go forward and back without losing our balance.

Strength and Fitness: means what are the most important muscles to keep active and strong in our seasoned years.

Tai Chi For You is a very old and rare practice designed for all age groups and all body types. Regardless of injuries, limitations, surgeries or mental imbalances, this form of practice is made up of five different healing movements all put into one free-flowing routine that people seated or standing can do at any age.

Laughing Practice: Most everyone knows laughing helps a person to feel happiness. This in turn automatically lightens the heaviness in the body and mind. When this is practiced on a regular basis with the proper intention and conscious presence, this activity not only dissolves stress but also has many long-lasting healing benefits.

Assisted Living

Conscious Breathing means becoming more aware of how we are breathing and then being able to sustain that particular breathing practice for a set amount of time.

Better Hydration means learning about the wonderful benefits of better hydration in our seasoned years of life.

Relaxed Breathing: means being able to feel and recognize when our body and mind are resistant and ridged to things in our current environment.

Relaxed Mind: means to have relaxed feelings and emotions. This is generally a by-product of how we breathe however instead of only focusing our intention on our breathing we also make a conscious choice to take charge of how we feel emotionally. Our mental and emotional aspects are very intricately connected.

Tai Chi For You: means with appropriate mental, emotional, and physical assessments, anybody can do a version of this form provided the individual is willing and present.

Memory Care

Better Hydration:  I introduce myself and the super-hydrating water that I bring with me.  I talk about its many beneficial properties and then we make a toast to everyone being happy and having plenty of help in case they need help with their care.

Sound Therapy:  Next, I introduce sound therapy and make sure it's not too loud for their hearing aids.  We also talk a little about the healing properties this ancient sound therapy brings out.

Energetic Humming:  We talk next about the power of humming and how it stimulates the Vegas nerve, which is the longest nerve in the body and has a direct effect on our overall health.  I do my best to address each person as time allows.

Joint Mobility:  Then we work our way through the entire body with circular movements. This reduces stiffness and helps to get any trapped blood out of the sides of the joints.

Cross Body, Cross Brain Exercises:  This strengthens the synaptic plasticity in the brain. When working with cross-brain and body movements, the brain automatically begins to build new neurons and provides better cognitive overall function.
